Getting started

This takes about ten minutes and uses only the sandbox.

1. Create an account

Register at /register and confirm your email. Any TechTur POS account can register applications.

2. Register a sandbox application

In the Developer console choose Register application, keep Sandbox, and pick scopes (for example business:read products:read products:write inventory:read orders:write orders:read). You get a clientId and a clientSecret. The secret is shown once — store it in your secrets manager.

Sandbox applications are approved for public scopes immediately. Live applications, and any platform:* scope, are reviewed by TechTur.

3. Create a sandbox business

Create sandbox business in the console. It comes with VAT registration (test number), products with barcodes, stock and two customers. Sandbox businesses are invisible to live applications and excluded from every live figure.

4. Get a token

For a quick start, open your application and use Test token: it connects your app to the sandbox business and mints a 24-hour access token. In production you will use OAuth instead — see Authentication.
